A finely carved light green jade bi featuring intertwined dragon and phoenix motifs, symbols of power, harmony, and immortality in ancient China. Openwork scrolls and elegant curves reflect the exceptional craftsmanship of the Han period.

Formerly from Mr. Huang Zhi-Ming, a Taiwanese private collector.
Mr. Huang acquired the jade pieces in Hong Kong. Some from Mr. Lai Loy (1926 - 2012), a jade dealer on Hollywood Road well known for handling and supplying archaic jade pieces to collectors, museums and other dealers and some some from private collectors in Hong Kong.
