A finely carved wooden head of Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The sculpture displays a serene expression with gently closed eyes, elongated earlobes, and an elaborate coiffure typical of Buddhist devotional imagery of the period.
Traces of original polychrome and natural aging remain visible on the surface, enhancing its historical character. The back and base openings indicate it was originally part of a larger temple statue. Height: 42 cm. Provenance: Private collection mr. J.K., Switzerland
