Arabic manuscript on paper, each page arranged in 11 lines of neat black Naskh script, with gilt verse roundels outlined in black. Tajwid markings and diacritical signs are rendered in red ink, while the text is framed by blue ruling and double red borders. Occasional marginal gilt roundels, outlined within double blue borders, indicate Juzʾ and Hizb divisions. Surah headings are rendered in red ink. The two opening pages are richly illuminated with gilt and polychrome decoration, each containing eight lines of calligraphy set within cloud-shaped reserves against a finely sprinkled gilt ground. Housed in a deep brown leather binding. Text: 8 by 25 cm Panel: 14 by 22 cm
