A Persian pottery bowl on a small foot ring with gently flaring sides and a slightly thickened rim. The interior is organized in a radial composition of wedge-shaped panels converging at the center, divided by turquoise and cobalt-blue bands. The segments alternate between stylized Arabic calligraphy and scrolling vegetal ornament, framed by a narrow calligraphic band beneath the rim. The exterior is sparsely decorated with a frieze of repeating blue arch-like motifs below the lip. Diameter: 19 cm.
