An impressive Yemeni janbiya with a strongly curved blade and an elaborately decorated silver sheath. The scabbard and hilt are finely worked with dense geometric and floral silver ornamentation in traditional Yemeni style, and fitted with suspension rings. The dagger retains its leather-covered back and richly detailed metal mounts, Length ca. 66 cm. 1115 gr.
