Lot 404 A PERSIAN ENGRAVED RED COPPER TRAY, 20TH CENTURY

A Persian rectangular tray with rounded corners and a slightly raised rim, crafted from copper with a warm reddish-brown patina. The central panel features three large, almond- or diamond-shaped medallions.
The middle medallion depicts a nature scene with two birds perched amid foliage, while the flanking medallions are filled with intricate floral arabesques. Smaller geometric and floral motifs fill the surrounding areas, and the edges are adorned with a repeating scalloped pattern and fine engraved detailing. 56 by 19 cm.
