Designed to hang above a cradle, 19th century. Suspended by chains, the rectangular cradle form is richly decorated with repoussé floral motifs, corner posts, and small dangling bells along the lower edge. The piece is surmounted by an arched frame crowned with a crescent and star, symbolizing protection and blessing. An elegant example of Ottoman silverwork associated with birth and childhood traditions.
