Arabic manuscript on paper, 305 leaves, each folio with 15 lines of elegant black naskh script, diacritics and vowels in red, gold roundel verse markers outlined in black, large gilt and polychrome floral marginal 'juz' and hizb medallions', text within gold and polychrome rules. , illuminated rectangular sura headings in colours and gold, two opening bifolia fully illuminated in gold and polychrome framing 7 lines of black naskh script in clouds reserved against a sprinkled gilt ground. Catalogue note:
No information could be found regarding the life of İbrahim Rüşdî Efendi. He learned the art of calligraphy (hüsn-i hat) from Halîl Şükrî Efendi and received his certification (ijazah) from him. He, in turn, granted calligraphy certification to many students. After performing the Hajj pilgrimage, he passed away on 17 Shawwal 1267 AH / August 14, 1851 CE and was buried near Shaykh Hamdullah in the Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar.
