A charming dark brown patinated bronze usubata 薄端 flower vase, decorated in high relief with a dragon 龍 (ryû), coiling its long, sinuous body around the baluster-shaped vessel. The vase features a very broad everted mouth, which is a separate part, allowing it to be displayed in two ways. Raised by three curved feet shaped like crashing waves.
Height 28.4 cm, diameter 30.6 cm.
Weight 4.7 kg.
