An oblong suzuribako writing box, decorated at the outside with a landscape with pine-trees and a waterfall in raised gold takamakie-lacquer with scattered gold flakes (hirame). The inside of the box with sprinkled gold makie-lacquer. The frame encasing the oblong ink stone and water dropper is decorated with autumn flowers. In original tomobako-store box.
