A finely modelled Chinese blue and white porcelain bell-shaped covered vase, the tall gently tapering body rising from a spreading pedestal foot and surmounted by a domed cover with a rounded finial. Decorated throughout in underglaze cobalt blue with scrolling lotus and foliate motifs, geometric and floral borders, and boldly painted ornamental panels. The domed cover is similarly decorated with a central foliate design and ornamental border.
