A finely modelled Chinese blue and white porcelain tulip-shaped vase, the lobed body rising to a tall central neck surrounded by four smaller apertures. Painted in underglaze cobalt blue with lively scenes of boys in a garden, interspersed with floral sprays and geometric borders. The lower body is further decorated with boldly painted blue lappet panels, while the neck is framed by scrolling and floral ornament.
