Chinese porcelain jardinière of rectangular form, finely decorated in the famille rose palette with sinuous dragons amidst flowering peonies, lotus and scrolling foliage, against a rich yellow ground. The sides are similarly decorated with dense floral scrolls and applied lions’ mask handles in iron-red. The rim is bordered with floral sprays, above a band of stylised crashing waves. Raised on four bracket feet, the interior glazed in white and pierced with drainage apertures to the base. 46 by 29 by 17 cm.
