Lot 67 A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE FIGURAL VASE, REPUBLIC PERIOD

A Chinese porcelain vase of baluster form, finely enamelled in the famille rose palette with an elegant gathering of figures beneath a graceful willow tree, the ladies and gentlemen dressed in flowing robes and accompanied by a young child, set within a delicately rendered mountainous landscape. The neck and shoulder are richly decorated with stylised lotus and scroll ornament, pendant motifs and key-fret borders in iron-red, black and gilt enamels, while the foot is similarly embellished with dense geometric and floral decoration. The reverse is painted with a continuous landscape and inscribed with a poetic text in black enamel, accompanied by iron-red seal marks. The base bears an iron-red four-character Qianlong seal mark.
