A Korean marbled celadon oil jar

The small squat vessel is of typical form with a galleried mouth rim. It is crafted with a marbled surface.

Catalogue note: Korean marbled ceramics were made from the mixture of three colours of clay, celadon, white and red. Compare the texture of the marbling to a bowl from the Ataka collection in the Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, accession no. 00190.
