Two Hindu oil lamps

Hindu oil lamps from India from the beginning of the 20th century, the goddess Lashmi is depicted on the back. Sri Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of light, wealth and happiness. She is also the goddess of beauty, love and fertility. Laksmi is considered by Hindus to be the mother of the universe. She is honored during the annual Diwali light festival.

Both oil lamps have been worked out in great detail with very nice patina.
