Exceptional and important black lacquered picnic-set (hanami bento) decorated in gold and silver maki-e lacquer with some mother-of-pearl inlay work with a sake-container, four tray bento boxes, two smaller boxes (one with flat plates) and a plate. The sake container and the four tray boxes are decorated with chrysanthemums in flower vases, the other pieces with poppies, bellflowers, irises, wisteria and other flowers. The top is decorated with hamagiku-chrysanthemums and cherries. In a black box.
