Writing box Suzuri-bako with a peacock motif and sprinkled nashiji-gold lacquer. The lid is decorated with peacocks on a rock above a stream, peonies and butterflies. The inside of the lid and the tray depict a continuous scene showing "the seven herbs of autumn". Both designs are in partly raised gold and silver maki-e lacquer with some mother-of-pearl inlay work. In a wooden box.
