Writing box (suzuribako) with original box. Decorated with gold and silver raised takamaki-e lacquer over a nashiji-sprinkled gold back ground with scenes from the lanscape around lake Omi. The writing box contains a brush, an inkstand and a silver maple leave shaped water-dropper.
