Iron helmet with a plate nailed on top, resembling of the shield of a beetle (henkei kabuto), with metal decorative eyebrows and fukikaeshi (side parts of the helmet); three neck-guards (shikoro) with black cords. In front of the helmet is a a black and gold painted wooden monster-head maedate with inlayed eyes. With a red cord to fasten the helmet. The helmet is in the style of saikahachi-kabuto from the Muromachi - Sengoku Period and made in Kishū (today Wakayama and a part of Mie Province).
