A large Ottoman silver belt buckle

Formed as two circular bosses of plain silver decorated in low relief with foliage work, each half of the buckle is further decorated with a raised central floral gilt roundel set with a stone. A central component of lozenge form is similarly decorated, set with gem-stones and a gilt central part. It is this part which hides the clasp on the reverse. Each side of the main component bosses is extended with silver flanges decorated with foliage work
