An Anglo Indian Colonial Ivory and Tortoiseshell Box

Overall decorated with tortoise shell, ivory nailed panels and open worked ivory decoration; blank ivory cartouche for a monogram centrally applied to the top of the lid. The interior decorated with velvet, original key, the whole on ivory lion feet.

Wear consistent with age. Part of the ivory decoration on the top missing.
