A painting on textile. The upper register of the roundel shows a topographic view of Mecca, Medina and the tents in Mina with the two large holy mosque in the center surrounded by city houses . In the middle of the large heavenly mosque, the Kaaba stands in the shape of the glorious black cube, the sacred sanctuary in Islam, surrounded by houses with a mountains in the background. The lower register contains the sura of Al-Ḥajj (Arabic: الحج‎, 'The Pilgrimage, The Hajj') which is the 22nd chapter (surah) of the Quran with 78 verses (āyāt). All surrounded by a gilt band of flower and classic foliage scrolls. 160 by 170 cm.
