Cast and engraved with floral designs and a long needle with movable ring which helps secure the fibula to the textile, One pair with partial silver hallmarks.

Fibulae were commonly worn by women as an everyday adornment whilst going about daily work as well as on special occasions. It is essentially a cloak fastener, comprising an ornate metal triangular, round or oval shape with detailed etchings in filigree or enamel, and a pin which serves to fasten two layers of material together. They were usually worn as a pair. These type of Fibulae are worn by Berbers, the indigenous ethnic group of North Africa.

One pair made from tribal metal, Possibly containing silver but of very low purity.
