A pair of Chinese hongmu stools inset with a Cantonese famille rose panel

Each square stool is carved in relief with flower scrolls above an apron of linked scroll design leading to four square-section legs terminating in ball and claw feet. Each porcelain panel is decorated to the centre with a floral roundel surrounded by small floral cartouches, surrounded with panels enclosing figures and further flowers and birds.
