The vase is decorated and gilt to the body with ladies at leisure with boys at play with flowers, toys, and instruments, all below a trellis band at the shoulder interspersed with shaped panels enclosing auspicious flowers, one signed 'Zhu ren', all below a band of further boys at play on the neck.
