A Chinese celadon and russet jade 'three friends of winter' spill vase

The exterior of the vase is carved as two bamboo branches with a bat perched on top, surrounded by pine and openwork prunus branches and scrolling clouds. The reverse is carved with a coiled snake. The stone is of a celadon tone with mottled russet inclusions. Provenance: From the collection of mr. J.E. Vaandrager
