A Chinese pale celadon jade tripod censer and cover

The body and legs are thinly hollowed, the three feet emanate from beast heads. The shoulder is decorated by two loose-ring openwork floral handles, and the body is carved with scrolling lotus in low relief. The cover is similarly decorated and is surmounted by a lotus finial surrounded by chrysanthemum petals. The jade is of an even tone. Provenance: From the collection of mr. J.E. Vaandrager
