A pair of Chinese famille rose 'floral' dishes

Each dish is decorated to the centre with narcissus, nandina berries, lingzhi, and pierced rocks. The reverse is decorated with three separate sprays of the same flowers repeated. The base is marked with an apocryphal Yongzheng mark.

Catalogue notes: The combination of lingzhi fungus, narcissus (shuixian hua), and nandina berries (tianzhu) convey the message 'ling xian zhu shou' a wish for long life and would have been used for birthday celebrations.
