A pair of Chinese blue and white moonflasks

Each vase is decorated with a pair of moulded openwork handles to the neck, and the rounded bodies are decorated in mirror image with scholars amongst pavilions and willows in a mountainous river landscape. The panels are surrounded by scrolling lotus below a suspended band and a geometric band at the neck and a lappet band at the foot. Each base with an apocryphal Kangxi mark.
