Each vase is decorated with two ruyi-sceptre handles to the neck and shoulders, each side is moulded with a peach-shaped panel. One vase depicts ladies at leisure, and the other vase depicts a Luohan and a lady holding an osmanthus bloom. The panels are surrounded by bats holding chimes and scrolling lotus between a band of scrolls and ruyi-heads to the rim and a lappet band to the foot.
