A Chinese blue and white 'dragon' dish

The dish is decorated in bold tones of cobalt blue, the centre with a roundel enclosing a sinuous four-clawed dragon chasing the flaming pearl amongst cloud scrolls above waves crashing against pointed mountains. The cavetto is decorated with four qilin separated by further waves and mountains. The reverse is decorated with further striding dragons chasing the flaming pearl.
