The cover is decorated with a roundel enclosing five bats and clouds, surrounded by the Eight Buddhist Emblems amongst further clouds. The straight sides of the cover are decorated with a foliate scroll. The box base is decorated with scrolling lingzhi and an apocryphal Qianlong mark to the base.
