A Chinese yellow-ground blue and white 'gardenia' dish

The interior is decorated with a leafy gardenia branch bearing blossoms and buds, the cavetto is decorated with fruiting branches of pomegranate, persimmon, grape and lotus. The exterior is decorated with four lotus sprays, all reserved against a yellow enamel ground. The base is glazed white and inscribed with a six-character Hongzhi mark in underglaze blue within a double circle.
