A Chinese blue and white 'ducks and lotus' 'Kraak porselein' charger

The piece is decorated to the centre in bright shades of cobalt blue with a star-shaped panel enclosing three ducks perched on a rocky below two further ducks in flight, all in a lotus bond. The rim and cavetto are decorated with petal-shaped panels enclosing alternating preciosu objects, peaches, and flowers, separated between brocade designs. The reverse is decorated with roundels enclosing lingzhi fungus. Provenance: from a private Dutch collection
