A Chinese famille rose yellow-ground sgraffiato 'Three Rams' medallion bowl

The bowl is finely decorated on the exterior with three medallions each enclosing a ram, representing the rebus 'sanyang kaitai', which may be translated as 'three rams bring fortune'. The interior is decorated in blue and white with a roundel enclosing three further rams below a large tree, all surrounded by fruiting and flowering branches to the sides. The base with a Daoguang seal mark.
