A Chinese wucai 'scholars' square box and cover

The cover is decorated with a scholar seated in front of a censer with two attendants in a fenced garden, surrounded by cartouches enclosing flowers, all reserved on a trellis ground. The box base is similarly decorated, with an apocryphal Wanli mark in underglaze blue.
