The centre is decorated with a panel depicting a scholar with an attendant holding a fan in a fenced garden, surrounded by a petal band. The cavetto and rim are decorated with panels of farmers and scholars interspersed with European flower sprays. The exterior is decorated with shaped cartouches enclosing flowers interspersed with pine tree and bamboo panels.
