A Chinese blue and white 'dragon' hu vase

The vase is decorated to each side with a ferocious front-facing five-clawed dragon chasing the flaming pearl amongst trails of cloud scrolls and tumultuous waves. The narrow sides are decorated with bats amongst clouds. The design is highlighted with the stippled effect imitating heaping and piling. All set between a pomegranate band to the rim and a leaf band to the foot. The base with an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark.
