A Chinese Export famille rose European-subject bowl

The bowl is decorated with two large panels enclosing scenes of a merchant on a boat with his wares ready to unload, with further figures standing on the shore in front of European-style buildings, all surrounded by iron-red and gilt floral sprays. The interior is decorated with the scene repeated, surrounded by acanthus leaves and famille rose branched flowers, all below a gilt leafy floral border to the rim.
