A Chinese Dehua seated figure of Guanyin

The Goddess of Mercy is modelled with a serene expression and downcast eyes below her hair tied in a topknot and in two sections on either shoulder. She wears long robes slightly open at the front to reveal a beaded necklace with a double ruyi-head pendant. She is seated in Royal Ease with her left hand holding a scroll. The reverse is stamped with a shaped seal mark reading 'De Yin' and a seal mark reading 'jin feng' which may be translated as 'carefully sealed'.
