A Chinese ruby-ground famille-rose 'flower basket' octagonal dish

The dish is decorated to the centre with peonies, roses, and magnolias in an elaborate basket which is pierced to reveal further flowers within. The flaring rim is decorated with cartouches enclosing various further flowers, all reserved on a bright pinkish-ruby ground.
