A white and russet jade 'lotus' group

Reference: ART100562

The piece is carved in the round as a lotus root resting upon a large lotus leaf, attached to two blossoming lotus flowers. The stone is of an even tone with russet inclusions to the bottom surface.

Catalogue note: In addition to the flower of the lotus plant being an auspicious symbol, the root of the lotus is also a popular symbol representing abundance.

Condition: small nicks to the extremities.
