The octagonal censer is decorated with four scroll-shaped handles, the body moulded with registers of scrolling lotus, prunus, and foliage, all standing on eight cabriole feet. The pierced cover is decorated with prunus scroll and a floral spray to the centre surmounted by upright lotus buds. The stand is decorated with an impressed lotus design to the centre, and the raised walls are decorated with floral scroll surmounted by eight lotus bud knops and standing on ruyi-head feet.
