A Chinese famille rose double gourd form ink stone and cover

The upper surface of the cover is decorated with butterflies in flight above peonies blossoming from rocks surrounded by an iron-red and gilt scrolling border. The sides of the cover is decorated with a gilt wan-symbol ground. The sides of the base is decorated with a gilt scrolling qilin amongst lotus and foliage. The base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark in blue enamel.
