A Chinese blue and white 'eagle' vase

The vase is impressively decorated with a detailed eagle in flight with its wings outspread. The reverse is inscribed with an excerpt from a poem by the Tang poet Li Bai, 'gu fei yi pian xue, bai li jian qiu zhai'. The base is marked with a 'yuan wen wu guo zhi zhai' seal mark.
