The painted enamel clock dial with a Arabic quarters and Roman numerals, pierced hand and sweep centre seconds. The clock face is surrounded by a gilt bronze front plate decorated in relief with a ‘shou’ character, bats and scrolling leaves. The clock is set in a hongmu box with a sliding front and rear door, and glass-backed openwork decoration to the sides. The clock is set on an openwork sectional stand.

The clock including the two stands with a height of 53.00 CM, 30.00 CM wide. The case 28.00 CM high, 24.00 CM wide. The clock it self 22.50 CM high, 15.00 CM wide.
