The larger ewer is decorated with birds amongst prunus below European-style flower scrolls, the handle decorated with clouds, and the base with an artemisia leaf mark in underglaze blue. The smaller ewer is decorated with a scholar to one side and an attendant to the other, the neck and shoulder also painted with European-style scrolls.
