A Chinese soapstone carving of a Luohan

The Luohan is carved reclining holding a lotus stem in the crook of his right arm, accompanied by a recumbent Buddhist lion. The robe are decorated with incised flowers and various hardstone inlays. With a wood stand carved as lingzhi-shaped clouds rising from foaming waves.
