A Chinese green-ground 'lotus and pomegranate' brocade panel

The silk is woven in brocade with lotus, pomegranates and clouds, bordered on three sides with a band of flowers and leaves. The "open" side shows a selvage meaning that the design is complete. The colors have a metallic shine and stand off nicely against the green background.
